Coffee can damn near make everyone a morning person. The smell of coffee in the morning is just enough life in the morning to make you feel excited for your day.
To be honest, I was a little late to the coffee party. I don’t think I felt the boost from a good old cup of coffee until after I was about turning twenty-five. Caffeine was one of those things that I thought I could get away with not using. Now I see that it’s an extra boost that is really helpful. It’s better not to go without it.
I’m by no means one to have coffee or I’m dead, but I enjoy the boost. I’ve come to appreciate what even a few gulps will do to jolt me awake for a short period of intense work. Coffee is great for your mental ability. Time your drinks well and get the most out of your coffee.
Vietnamese Coffee
If you aren’t that into coffee, Vietnamese Coffee might be the way to start liking the flavor. The taste is what made me a fan at first. Vietnamese coffee is made of a sweet condensed milk that gives it a nice, sharp taste. It’s really a roasty-toasty coffee that will cool you off on hot days.
The caffeine in it will deliver, too. Whenever I need an intense energy hit, Vietnamese coffee is always on the top of the list. It’s in a league of its own. It’s like the crack of coffee, and you don’t have to compromise on taste.
Good coffee might be hard to come by. If you want a head start on the best Vietnamese offee out there, read about three Vietnamese Coffees in shops that might be local to you.
7Leaves
FYI, I used to think 7leaves had the best Vietnamese coffee. I liked the taste. It’ll put you out $4.00 for a regular coffee, no tax. It’s a steal. The black straw is a nice touch.

From my most recent taste update at 7leaves, the flavor was much more balanced than the other sharper Vietnamese coffees I’d come to like since then.
Nevertheless, 7leaves has a great, mild-tasting, well-rounded take on the recipe. It’s the most balanced taste if you’re looking for that.
Though the flavor is even-keeled, don’t underestimate its strength. With a good amount of gulps, the caffeine WILL give you that crystal clear focus you can't make at home. Remember to get the stamp card. It’s a free drink at 10.
Lee’s Sandwich
Head over to Lee’s Sandwiches and discover the perfect Vietnamese iced coffee for a hot, sunny day. The item comes filled with tons of crushed ice that lasts for a long time. Vietnamese coffee is best served cold.
The taste is rich. I loved that Lee's provided the real sharpness of a Vietnamese Coffee. It crescendos across your tongue.

Caffeine-wise, Lee's might be a wee bit milder than 7leaves. I was halfway through the cup until I noticed the kick coming in. But hey, I still stayed up at night even though I stopped drinking it at noon...
Lee's deal is a small Vietnamese Coffee at $3.49 each, no tax included. Enjoy the skinny straw.
Hiccups
Lastly, I stopped at Hiccups to try their Vietnamese coffees, costing me $4.95 each. I picked up the original coffee and the hazelnut version at no additional cost. The hazelnut is highly recommended! Hiccups really hit the nose on this one; hazelnut complements Vietnamese coffee very well, as you can imagine. You get the nutty flavor you’re after without interfering on the roastiness of the coffee. It’s definitely worth trying.
Just be aware; Hiccups Vietnamese coffee had the most underwhelming taste of a Vietnamese coffee. If you're satisfied with just the hazelnut goodness, fine. Otherwise, go elsewhere for your Vietnamese craving.

On any given day, your best Vietnamese coffee spot might change depending on what you're looking for. Coffee at home is an option you can never forget. I still get my cup of the Vietnamese coffee at home with G7's Instant coffee satchets. I've had the best luck with the square packets, not the tube. Good luck on your treasured coffee finds.
